by Dr. Philip S. Chua.

Celebrating and unwinding during holidays may mean a drink or two, or maybe three. As long as we enjoy our drinks with discipline and responsibility, the joy will bless us with many happy memories we can cherish forever.

THE SOULMATE CONSPIRACY Valentine’s Day Special (Part 1)

by Fred C. Wilson III
February 1, 2013
“Do not praise individuals for their good looks or loath anyone because of appearance alone.” -Sirach 11:2-

Saint, statesman and Renaissance man, Sir Thomas More said, “Romantic love is an illusion. Most of us discover this truth at the end of a love affair or else when the sweet emotions of love lead us into marriage and then turn down their flames.” Having married twice (his first wife died), St. Thomas knew his subject. The emotional high from being in love is a good thing. Continue reading

“Huh? When you what you what now?” I asked her. Never heard of the book. Never heard of Siimon Reynolds (double “i” on the name) either. But that abruptly changed. Continue reading

Impunity of lawlessness

February 1, 2013
Once again, gun violence has taken center stage in public opinion. I’m not talking about gun violence in the United States but halfway around the world in the land of the morning sun – the Philippines. We have had more than enough of the political posturing and special-interest wrangling while bad legislations and practices go unchecked and continue to put this nation in peril. The time to institute reforms is now or we may never have the opportunity to do it ever again. Continue reading
