Jessica Sanchez ready with first album, to be launched in Manila?

Things are moving fast for Filipino-American singing sensation Jessica Sanchez who has a slew of high-profile activities this year.
The budding diva announced via MTV News that she had just wrapped up work on her much-anticipated debut album.
And the speculation is that she might launched her album in Manila during her first solo concert on February 14 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
“I’ve been working on my album since the ‘Idol’ tour and I just finished it up,” Sanchez said.
She would not reveal the title of her first single, however, which is set for release in February. She did say that the album took this long to make because she “wanted to make it perfect for the fans,” according to reports published in Manila.
The reports, quoted Jason Morey, executive vice president and worldwide head of music for 19 Entertainment, the company that produces the “Idol” franchise, stating to MTV News that they want to take time “developing” Sanchez.
“We wanted to develop her into an artist with longevity, and wanted her to put out a product that truly showcased her as the artist she wants to be and we wanted to take the time to make it perfect,” he said, adding, “She is truly a world class singer and we wanted to put her with the biggest producers and writers in the business …
“She literally blew everyone away in the studio with her talent and as she began working, more opportunities arose for her to work with different people.”
Among several named producers and songwriters involved in the project are Ne-Yo, Toby Gad (One Direction, Kelly Clarkson),
Harvey Mason Jr. (Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake) and Rykeyz (Wiz Khalifa, Fantasia), according to the reports.
“I’ve worked in the studio before, but going to that next level with such high producers? It was crazy … working with Ne-Yo. Everything was such a blur and I was just a fangirl the whole time,” shared Sanchez.
The 17-year old describes her album as “soulful but more dancey.”
“This is completely who I am and I’m excited to show it to everybody,” she said.
Morey described Jessica’s album as upbeat with an R&B edge but still quite radio-friendly. Of course, it goes without saying that there are ballads in the mix as well, obviously since Sanchez made her name on “Idol” with passionate covers of such.
Meanwhile, fans can also look forward to Sanchez’ appearance in an upcoming four-episode arc on “Glee.” The singer said she doesn’t know yet the character she is playing but that creator Ryan Murphy himself invited her to join the show. She’s been taking acting classes since, calling the chance to work with Murphy a huge honor.
Filipino fans of the singer have more exciting things ahead: Sanchez’ first-ever headlining gig in the country on Valentine’s Day.
Sanchez will be backed up by fellow “Idol” alum Colton Dixon in the gig.
“There might be a sneak peek of some songs [from the album],” she shared. “Some ‘Idol’ songs, some covers.”
