LOS ANGELES/MANILA (via PhilAmPress) – Three Filipino Americans have joined different teams in this year’s season of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
This as 6’6” Kobe Paras, son of former Philippine basketball star and now actor Jerome Paras, has opted to play with the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA) which produced Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Reggie Miller and Kevin Love, buoying hopes for a full-blooded Filipino to eventually play soon with the NBA. Sen. Revilla airs security concerns; SC junks motion for inhibition of Carpio

MANILA — Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. has aired security and safety concerns, especially if plans to transfer him to the jail in Taguig City will push through.
This as the Supreme Court (SC) dismissed his motion seeking to order the inhibition of SC Senior Associate Justice Antonio T. Carpio from the hearing of the plunder cases against him.
In a resolution signed by Clerk of Court of the en banc Atty. Enriqueta E. Vidal, the SC denied the motion for inhibition filed by Revilla. Continue reading
