SAN FRANCISCO — California State Senator Leland Yee has pledged to sponsor a resolution in the State Senate supporting the payment of full equity to the Filipino war veterans.
Yee made the pledge after veterans from Los Angeles, Washington, San Francisco and other areas converged before the Northern California Federal District Court in San Francisco to press their demands for the payment of their claims by the US government. Earlier, the veterans and their widows filed a class suit against the US Department of Veterans Affairs demanding payments of their benefits. Continue reading
