SHARIF AGUAK, Maguindanao – A member of a clan accused of orchestrating the country’s worst political massacre has been killed in an ambush.
Police identified the fatality as Cliff Ampatuan, 50, nephew of Andal U. Ampatuan Jr., who is on trial along with his father for the massacre of 58 people, 32 of them media men, in Maguindanao last November.
The ambush made by motorcycle-riding men wounded four other people, including Ampatuan’s wife.
