LOS ANGELES – World pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao stand to earn $25 million or thereabout in his fight for a record eighth boxing title against Mexico’s Antonio Margarito at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Nov. 13.

Airphil Express sees sales to pick up

MANILA – The budget carrier of Philippine Airlines (PAL) expects sales to pick up this year after its maiden flight in Singapore.

DOT chief declares RP tourism has recovered

CEBU CITY – Tourism Secretary Alberto Lim said he believes the country has recovered from the backlash of the hostage-taking incident near the Quirino Grandstand in Manila’s Rizal Park last August 23.
Lim, who was in Cebu for the Philippine Russian Business Forum at the Cebu International Convention Center in Mandaue City, said other markets have compensated for the loss of tourists from Hong Kong.

“No naman. ‘Wag ganyan kasi baka maniwala ako. It’s very flattering, of course. Natatawa ako kasi no. Eh, di sana meron akong…. (showing off her ring finger),” Lovi said on GMA Network’s “Showbiz Central,” Oct. 24.
