Guess who is in need of a leading man?
Sarah Geronimo, that’s who! says leading columnist Ethel Ramos
Since she said early this year that she’d rather not team up in a movie with John Lloyd Cruz again – a pronouncement the actor supposedly “seconded” – Sarah’s home studio, Viva Entertainment, has been on the lookout for a new leading man for her, said Ethel in her latest column.

Sarah Geronimo
She continued her column thus:
They “experimented” with Luis Manzano, who played her leading man in “Hating Kapatid,” which also starred Judy Ann Santos.
But the two obviously didn’t have the chemistry that is a must for love teams.
Viva Films and Star Cinema, which co-produced the two blockbuster movies starring John Lloyd and Sarah, “A Very Special Love” and “You Changed My Life,” would have wanted to make a Gerald Anderson-Sarah film.
But before the project could take off, the “Kimeralds,” solid fans of Kim Chiu and Gerald, raised a howl.
Rayver Cruz was also considered, as there was a certain chemistry between them when he played Sarah’s suitor in “You Changed My Life.”
But how true is the report that while Sarah and Rayver were doing the project, Sarah’s parents sensed there was something brewing between the two?
The project, therefore, was called off.
“Idol,” her series with Sam Milby and Coco Martin, was meant to discover who between the two would make a good leading man for Sarah. Just like how John Lloyd proved to be a good match on screen.
“Idol” ended last week.
No need to tell you if the experiment succeeded or not.
