This may well describe the relationship of actress and television host KC Concepcion and popular actor Piolo Pascual after many weeks of rumors that they have separated.
The daughter of popular singer, actress and television host Sharon Cuneta and actor Gabby Concepcion, KC herself broke her silence about the speculations on Sunday, pointing out that she and Piolo have not broken up their romance of ten months.
“We have not parted ways. Hindi po kami hiwalay,” the comely KC said on the ABS-CBN show “The Buzz.
A week earlier, KC even greeted Piolo or PJ as she calls him also in “The Buzz,” with a “happy month anniversary.”
“Naka-abot na rin kami ng 10th month,” KC told her “The Buzz” co-hosts Boy Abunda, Toni Gonzaga and Charlene Gonzales.
Piolo himself has clarified the reports that his relationship with KC has gone sour.
“No, we are ok naman, wala namang problema. Klaro naman,” Pascual told the program “Showbiz News Ngayon” also in his mother studio, the ABS-CBN.
Speculations have persisted that the celebrity couple’s relationship is on the rocks, especially when the young actress’ mother warned those romantically involved with her daughter.
“I just want whoever it is that will be in my daughter’s life to love her and take care of her the way we would. Kasi hindi ko pinalaki yan para i-take for granted lang o balewalain,” the mega star said.
Sharon made her warning after KC herself had posted on her Twitter account last August 10 that she was carrying a heavy heart.
“Meeting in a while. may event later pero pass muna ako. may mga bagay na di kinakaya ng utak at puso ko:) kaya magpaka-busy na lang tayo:),” KC tweeted.
Last Thursday, KC, however, tweeted: “when things go beyond our Understanding, we can choose to Accept everything – just as they are… because Faith steps in. 🙂 no regrets… :)”
Last Sunday, KC again clarified: “Aware po ako na ilang weeks nang usap-usapan na nagkakalabuan na kaming dalawa ni PJ and hanggang this week nga po balitang break na kami. And once and for all po gusto ko pong malaman ninyong lahat na gaya po ng una na ring sinabi ni PJ, hindi po kami hiwalay ni Piolo Pascual,” she said.
An ABS-CBN report stated that KC admitted she and Piolo “are really going through a rough time” but added that “it is just normal for people in a relationship to have misunderstandings.”
“Katulad po ng normal na relationship, siguro po ng relasyon sa pagitan ng kahit na sinong tao, ay dumadaan din po kami ni PJ sa ilang mga problema and nagkakataon lang po na nasa showbiz po kami kaya masyadong napapalaki po siguro yung mga issue,” she said.
“Yes mayroon po kaming pinagdadaanan ngayon pero mapag-uusapan naman po siguro yun at maaayos,” she added.
According to the TV host, she and Piolo would talk about the matter when the latter gets back from his Asian tour.
Sharon has stated that she hates that her daughter was being taken for granted.
“Tungkol naman po sa sinabi ng mommy ko, totoo po yung sinasabi nila na may mother’s instinct talaga ang mga nanay. Hindi mo pa po sinasabing may problema ka, alam na nila. Kahit wala kang sinasabi sa kanila. So nagpapasalamat po ako na naiintindihan ko po siya at naiintindihan niya po ako,” she said.
“I am sure na kahit na sinong mommy or anak eh talaga maiintindihan naman na lahat ng sinabi niya o ginagawa niya dahil mahal niya ako at anak niya ako kaya gusto niya lang masigurong masaya ako,” she said.
While Sharon sounded so concerned with her daughter, KC’s father, Gabby Concepcion, said he doesn’t meddle in the affairs of his daughter.
“Wala, wala akong pakialam sa relationship nila. It’s their relationship not mine. Just make good of it. Be happy,” Gabby said on ABS-CBN public affairs show, “TV Patrol.”
