Ruffa, Yilmaz in good terms again over 2 kids

All’s well that ends well.

This may well apply to beauty queen actress and television host Ruffa Gutierrez and erstwhile husband Yilmaz Bektas.

After their separation and sour relationship that followed, Ruffa and Yilmaz are again in good terms.

No less than Ruffa herself announced the turn of events in a television interview over “Umagang Kay Ganda.”

Ruffa and Yilmaz had been quarrelling on the custody of their two daughters.

The quarrel was even brought to the Quezon City Regional Trial Court which later gave sole custody of the kids to Ruffa, with visitation rights for Yilmaz but only in the Philippines.

Yilmaz, however, contested the court’s decision.

Ruffa disclosed that she and Yilmaz have finally decided to keep their relationship civil.

“Kami ni Ylmaz, okay naman. Actually, ngayon, good mood na naman siya,” she said.

The former beauty queen said she hopes their reconciliation will be a start towards a good relationship.

“Hopefully hindi na kami guluhin niya, and sana maging maayos ang relationship namin for the sake of the kids,” she said in an ABS-CBN report.

Earlier, Ruffa disclosed that Yilmaz has even offered her $2 million so he could be with his two daughters Lorin and Venice.

Ruffa reportedly turned down the offer of her ex-husband.

Ruffa’s brother, actor Richard Gutierrez, said he and their whole family are behind Ruffa in her decision over the kids.

“Ate knows that her decision is right and she’s standing firm on it,” said Richard. “We love her and we support her all the way. More than anything, she needs her family and friends. We are standing by her.”

Ruffa earlier said that Yilmaz could stay with their kids also in America, but not in Turkey.

“Ako ang may sole custody kanila Lorin and Venice and he has visitation rights here in the Philippines. Ngayon, if he would like the children to visit anywhere else, I said it’s okay for the kids to visit him in America. And my children are also American citizens. There has to be a written letter saying na they’ll be gone for two weeks and then they’ll come back,” she said.

She said it was not right for Yilmaz to offer her $2 million for the custody of their two children.

“My children are priceless at walang dapat pinag-uusapan na pera kapalit ng mga anak ko. Hindi naman siya nag-o-offer ng sustento, ang ino-offer ni Yilmaz, magbibigay siya sa akin ng $2 million in exchange for the children to be in Turkey to live there,” said Ruffa.

Umaasa si Ruffa na magkakaayos sila agad ni Ylmaz dahil pareho naman daw nilang mahal ang mga bunga ng kanilang pag-ibig. Mario Dumaual, Patrol ng Pilipino
