Word Of Grace Group Returns From Israel Bible Tour

Led by Word of Grace Founder & Spiritual Director, Dr. Richard Mirpuri, participants to the 2011 WORD OF GRACE PRAYER PILGRIMAGE & BIBLE TOUR returned last March 25 from a very successful 11-day trip to Israel & Turkey. The group of 27 participants are seen in this photo standing on the Mount of Olives where Jesus Christ stood when He wept over Jerusalem as recorded in the gospels. It was also from here where Jesus rode on a donkey in fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy concerning the coming of the Messiah which is celebrated on Palm Sunday as His triumphal entry into the city marking the start of the Holy Week.

At the foot of the Mount of Olives lies the Garden of Gethsemane which the group also visited. In the background of the photo, the old city of Jerusalem with the Dome of the Rock in full view is visible on this clear day when the group made their visit to the city. The Old Testament prophetic book of Zechariah contains an apocalyptic prophecy which states that upon the Second Coming of Jesus, His feet will touch first on the Mount of Olives and the mountain will split in two, with one half shifting north and the other half shifting south (Zechariah 14:4).

Dr. Mirpuri is currently working on 2 bible tours for 2012 with a 7- day trip to Israel and another visiting Greece and Turkey for 10-days to visit the 7 Churches of the Book of Revelations in Turkey and the Island of Patmos in Greece where the Apostle John was exiled and received visions and revelations as recorded in the apocalyptic New Testament book of Revelations. The Greece-Turkey tour will include a Mediterranean Cruise visiting the Greek Isles.

In this 2011 tour – there were 2 who joined from Canada, 2 from the Philippines, 3 from Los Angeles, California and 2 from New York.
