The erstwhile couple have not worked together in years.
Sharon and Gabby actually separated with each other in bad mood – Sharon had filed charges against her ex-husband who then fled to the United States. This despite of the fact that their relationship bore a child – KC Concepcion – who grew up to become a star herself.
The megastar, who continues to shine in movies, television and concerts, and the comebacking actor themselves disclosed that they are preparing a movie together for their fans this year.
After many years in the US, Gabby went back to Manila in fourth quarter of 2008. Immediately, his fans requested a movie comeback/team-up for both him and Sharon.
Sharon was doing “BFF: (Best Friends Forever)” with Ai-Ai delas Alas during that time and Gabby had a short stint in the Star Cinema movie.
Gabby disclosed that a production team is now working on a story which will be interpreted into movie soon.
“Sana magawan na agad ng magandang istorya. Siyempre meron kaming mga suggestions pero sila parin ang masusunod eh. Production parin yung may say diyan,” he said.
Sharon said she’s looking forward to working again with Gabby.
“There are plans na. I like the team-up, it’s Sharon and Gabby. It’s my favorite love team so sa akin walang kaso yun,” she said.
The reunion movie is expected to grace the big screen this year according to the actress.
Sharon and Gabby became a favorite love team in movies in the ’80s. Among their hit movies “Dear Heart,” “P.S. I Love You,” and “My Only Love.”
