But this one is not through a movie but an ABS-CBN fantasy series entitled “Atom,” which stars child actor Bugoy Carino.
For the role, Aiko is requested to lose weight, according to published reports, and already, she has dropped some pounds, although she herself admits that she has to lose some more.
The series is her comeback of sorts, as for the last nine years, Aiko concentrated on being a politician. She was twice elected as councilor of the second district of Quezon City.
Last year, Aiko ran for vice mayor of mayoralty candidate, former Executive Secretary Mike Defensor, in Quezon City. They both lost to current Mayor Herbert Bautista and Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte.
Aiko was first married to Jomari. They have a son, Andre, now a pre-teen and studying at the Ateneo de Manila.
After their marriage was annulled, she ventured into marriage anew, with Martin Jickain, now a chef and father of her second child, a girl named Marthena, three years old.
She recently broke up with Bulacan Mayor Patrick Meneses.
Jomari, on the other hand, never remarried, although, he had a serious relationship with singer Pops Fernandez. They have long parted ways, too.
Fans of Aiko and Jomari are looking forward to their television series together in the top network, ABS-CBN.
