QUEZON CITY – Actress Jennylyn Mercado has been sued by couple Leon and Cathy Tan for her alleged bouncing checks.

The actress, however, welcomed the complaint, saying it will be an opportunity to clear her name.

Jen and manager Becky Aguila said the case is interrelated to a case they filed against one Mel Pulmano.

“Jen and I were already looking forward to the estafa and bouncing checks case filed by Leon and Cathy Tan. Interelated din ’yan sa case we filed against Mel Pulmano,” said Becky.

“No bail recommended si Mel sa qualified theft sa case namin ni Jen. Na-reopen pa nga ’yung isang case namin against Mel, ’yung falsification of documents and no bail recommended din for Mel,” dagdag pa niya.

According to the talent manager, it was good that the victims surfaced so the case would be investigated.

“I am personally looking forward to the hearing. The case of Leon and Cathy Tan will somehow clear everything for me and Jen. Okay lang with me to attend the hearings since may elevator na sa QC Hall of Justice,” said Becky.

It was gathered that Jen’s signature on the checks were forged.
