BAGUIO CITY— Mexican boxing titlist Michael Medina has predicted that Filipino boxing idol Manny Paquiao will win over his compatriot Antonio Margarito in their November 12 title bout to be held in the United States.

The tall boxer was among the Team Pacquiao who jogged at Burnham Park in preparation to the rigid sparring bouts and other activities at a local gym in this mountain resort.

Together with Glen Tapia, Medina will have scores of sparring sessions with Pacquiao to acquaint the Filipino boxer with taller and heavier opponents.

“Manny is in good form now, has the great speed in movements and excellent stamina that I can see a knockdown in favor to him (Pacquiao) in the sixth to tenth round,” he said.

Pacquiao jogged alongside “Pacman” his dog. More visitors, boxing enthusiasts and mediamen were noted to have joined him in his morning exercises.

As predicted by City Mayor Mauricio Domogan, the presence of the “People’s Champ” here would further improve the tourist arrivals.

Last Tuesday, Pacquiao captured the admiration of selected local basketball players for the endurance of the champion in the ballgame as well as his ideal friendliness and sportsmanship.

Buboy Fernandez, one of the coaches, however cautioned Pacquiao in his basketball games to avoid injuries.

According to Fernandez, it is important for Pacquiao to further his workouts, avoid injuries and maintain his good stamina.
