TMCC (Mating Specialist) conquers 2013 USAT (North) Chess Championship

The TMCC Mating Specialist comprises of two US Players and Two Veterans Filipino chess players, IM Angelo Young who originally hails from Quezon City and Expert Florentino Inumerable, who is from Batangas City. The Team Tied for first place in the just concluded USAT Chess Team Championship February 16-17 2013 ( Hyatt Schaumburg Illinois).
Both International Master Angelo Young and Expert Flor Inumerable were undefeated and helped the team by scoring 4 points out of possible 5 points.
IM Angelo Young is an 8-time Illinois State Champion, 2013 Tim Just Winter Champion and Former Philippine Junior Chess Champion spearheaded the team in blanking Pawn Stormers in the first round. In round 2 they smashed the Little Known CClian Team and in round 3 they gave their only draw to College team Lindenwood and back to back beating both University of Chicago A and Rachel’s Knights by a margin of 2.5 – 1.5 in favor of the Mating Specialist .
Former PESO chess champion Florentino Inumerable and last year Illinois Class Chess Champion gave the team the much needed points by winning the crucial last two rounds.
The USAT team Champion is one of the prestigious team events in the United States. Simultaneously there is ongoing tournament from East ( NJ) West ( CA) , South ( FL) and the North ( IL). The winning Team from each region will play Matches with the other Team winner and the winning team will be declared as the overall USAT Champion.
Other two Members of the Mating Specialist are FM Albert Chow and Robert Loncarevic.
