Remembering Nanay Azon

Corazon “Nanay Azon” Juat, born on August 20,1943 in Bulacan Philippines, passed away peacefully on Friday morning of March 1, 2013 at the University Medical Center, Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 69.

Her life was full of music, inspirational stories and funny memories that she never failed to share with her sons and daughters, grand kids, siblings, and friends. She was the person who always wore that big smile on her face to let others know that everything was ok and will be ok. No wonder why she had a lot of adopted children who called her “Nanay” (Mom) and looked up to her like a real mother here in Cincinnati, Chicago and in the Philippines.
“Nanay Azon” had that charm, that gift of making other people feel happy, secured and welcomed. She can easily make friends and had her own way of showing others the sincerity of her heart. As a person of laughter and positive thoughts, surely, she wanted us to remember her jolliness, kindness, all of her funny mistakes and stories, her distinctive hoarse voice, her child-like appreciation of even small simple things. Let us all remember her as a thoughtful, caring and loving “Nanay Azon.”
“Nanay Azon” was the beloved wife of Fernando “Tatay Oyo” Juat Sr. and they were happily married for 46 years. A devoted mother of Analisa Ibañez, Danny Juat, Gierly Juat, the late Ferdie Juat and Heizel Juat. Cherished mother-in-law of Ariel Ibañez, Noemi Juat, Ramon Mallari and Obhet Capistrano. A loving grandmother of Jan Ariel Ibañez, Prince Ainiel Ibañez, Damie Juat, Daniel Juat, Darlene Juat, Dana Isabel Juat, the late David Juat, Robert Gershom Capistrano, Rob Gesley Capistrano, and Rayle Giellam Mallari. Precious great grandmother of Rhaun Calixte Capistrano. Survived by her 6 siblings, other relatives, friends and numerous adoptive children.
Friends and family may call or come for visitation on Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm followed by a funeral service at Kenwood Baptist Church located at 8341 Kenwood Rd. Cincinnati, Ohio. 45236. (513) 791-0355.
