Is the marriage of veteran actor Christopher de Leon to Sandy Andolong on the rocks?
The poser was raised by showbiz observers and fans who got wind of reports on the possible breakup of the marriage of the couple.
People close to the couple were alarmed with the news, adding that they are even planning a trip to the US soon.
Christopher, by the way, has been declared an American citizen, owing to the citizenship of his grandfather. When he ran for public office, he may have abandoned his US citizenship or maintained dual citizenship. He is now provincial board member of Batangas after he took up residence in Lobo town and is touted to be a protege of Governor Vilma Santos Recto to be her successor.
Christopher has been very busy lately as he is seen daily with superstar Nora Aunor on TV 5’s soap, “Sa Ngalan Ng Ina.” He will also be seen in another series, titled “Padre de Pamilya” on ABS-CBN soon.
Some observers said that the report on the Christopher-Sandy alleged breakup may just be a gimmick to drum up his TV 5 show with former wife Nora Aunor “Sa Ngalan ng Ina.”
Some say the show was not rating very well despite good performances of the cast.
There is no independent confirmation on the report.

Governor Vi goes on vacation
Batangas Governor Vilma Santos Recto has gone on a vacation with her family abroad.
The vacation was in time with her birthday, so many fans were surprised why she did not celebrate her natal day in Manila or Batangas.
Gov. Vilma is expected to star in a Star Cinema movie with popular young star Kim Chiu.
Close aides of the governor said that she always go out of the country during her birthday.
Governor Vi’s birthday is actually November 3.
“Ibibigay ko muna sa pamilya ko kasi, itong mga taong ito, talagang it was all work and it’s no joke. It’s mentally, emotionally, physically draining at pareho kaming mag-asawa na nagtatrabaho,” she said on “Showbiz Central” on GMA Network.
“Nagpaplano kami even for a two-week vacation just for a breaker lang, just to unwind. Pagbalik ko na lang ‘yung get-together with some friends,” she said.
In the interview, she said her memorable films were “Trudis Liit,” for which she won her first best child actress from FAMAS, and “Darna” and “Dyesebel.”
She said she was once a recording arist and that she was part of a love team. The turning point in her career, she said, was when she filmed “Burlesk Queen.” It was a turning point when she became considered a true actress and a bonafide box-office attraction.
“Ang pinakaimportante ‘yung latter part ng career ko. Isa ako sa masusuwerte na nabigyan ng films na memorable at relevant films. ‘Relasyon,’ of course, [was my] first grandslam but I was able to make [a movie] unang-una about autism sa ‘Ipagpatawad Mo,’ [then] ‘Dolzura Cortez,’ [which is] about AIDS,” she told the show.
She admitted that some of her leading man courted her.
“Madami. ‘Yun naman ganyan lang naman ‘yan. Nasa iyo na yon kung nakakalusot. Nasa babae na rin ‘yon kung palulusutin mo,” she said.
When asked which among those memorable lines she blurted out on the big screen she remembers the most, she said, “Si Val, si Val, palagi na lang si Val.”
“Pangalawa ‘yung, ‘Para kang karinderyang bukas sa lahat ng gustong kumain’ sa ‘Palimos ng Pag-Ibig’ with Dina Bonnevie and Edu Manzano. And then of course, ‘Sister Stella L,’ [with the lines] ‘Kung hindi tayo kikilos, sino ang kikilos? Kung hindi ngayon kelan pa? Mabuhay si Ka Dencio!”
She acknowledged that her and Nora Aunor’s fans were “fierce” over their “rivalry” back in the days.
“Diyos ko, talagang patayan noon. Noon talaga nag-aaway. Hagisan ng basag na bote. Hiwaan ng blade. Tusukan ng perdible… Ganoon ka-fanatic,” she said.
Vilma got separated with Edu Manzano when Luis was still a child.
