Pokwang gets surprise gift from Pres. Aquino

COMEDIENNE and television host Pokwang received last week one of the surprises of her life – a birthday gift from no less than President Benigno Aquino III.

Pokwang, a good friend of the President’s sister, Kris Aquino Yap, disclosed the President’s gift in an interview during her birthday celebration with “Showbiz News Ngayon” of ABS-CBN, her mother studio.

Pokwang told the show she will treasure the President’s gift.

“Mr. President, thank you so much po sa bulaklak. Aalagaan ko ng bonggang-bongga iyan. Itatabi ko talaga iyan,” Pokwang was quoted as saying by the network.

The television network stated that the television host even joked saying this might be the President’s way of wooing her.

“Salamat po. Baka nililigawan niya ako. Agad agad? Ligaw agad? Ha ha ha,” she said in jest, according to ABS-CBN.

Pokwang said she could not ask anything more for herself because she is already blessed.

Pokwang said she just wants the people she loves to be happy and have good health.

Asked if she is not looking for love anymore, Pokwang replied: “Love life, tsaka na iyan.

Pokwang, who was once linked to a foreigner, joked that she wants a foreigner again to be her partner-to-be.

Ha ha ha,” she said with a laugh. “Importante yung mamahalin ka. Habangbuhay mo siya makakasama eh. Dapat rerespetuhin niya ang anak ko (What is important is he will love me. It will be lifetime partnership. He should respect also my children),” she said.
