Annamaria Gana, apparently depressed due to breast cancer, went on a shooting rampage and also wounded one of their two sons inside their home.

She was charged with murder and attempted murder before the Orange County District Attorney’s office.

If convicted, she will face 82-years to life imprisonment. A $1 million bail was set for her temporary liberty.

Initial reports showed that Mrs. Gana shot her husband in the chest and fired twice at their fleeing son hitting him in the arm and torso.

Although wounded, the teener managed to call 911 for help.

The couple’s nine-year-old son grabbed the gun from his mother and threw it outside. The gun was later found on their neighbor’s lawn.

Gana was pronounced dead on arrival at the Western Medical Center in Santa Ana.
