ShareThisKALIBO, Aklan — Capiz and Aklan provinces will be exploring a possible fusion of their respective tourism assets.
Tourism executives of both provinces are slated to meet at the ABL Sports Complex here in a rare event dubbed as “Pagtililipon” (gathering) together with the Aklan Historical and Cultural Society, Kalibo Sto. Nino Ati-atihan Foundation Incorporated.
The gathering will showcase various cultural dances of the two provinces and discuss their tourism potentials, strength and weaknesses.
The event is one of the highlights of the 55th anniversary of Aklan as an independent province.
Roselle Quimpo-Ruiz of the Aklan provincial tourism office said that they expect the gathering to start a new age of cooperation and better outlook for the tourism industry of the two provinces. (PNA)
