Good weather favors training of boxing idol Manny Pacquiao

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the fair weather here would probably continue during the four-week high altitude training of the country’s boxing idol Congressman Manny Pacquiao.

Weatherman Danny Galate said the fair weather here is characterized with cloudy periods and isolated rainshowers with a temperature range of 12 to 24 degrees Celsius.

The weather factor has been considered by his team as crucial in his welterweight title defense because his last two trainings here were marked with strong typhoons.

Good weather had enabled the champion to immediately go into rigorous jogging exercises.

He is set to face former WBO welterweight champion Sugar Shane Mosley in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 7 this year.
