UP Nursing Alumni Association to hold Inaugural Ball April 2

On Saturday, April 2, 2011, the University of the Philippines Nursing Alumni Association of the Midwest (UPNAAM) will be holding an Inaugural Ball honoring its 2011-2012 Officers and Board of Directors at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel, 10249 W. Irving Park Rd., Schiller Park, Illinois.
The new set of officers is headed by its President, Ms. Jean Paredes-Tablizo, a Golden Jubilarian. The event will bring together more than one hundred alumni coming from the state of Illinois and other states in the Midwest. Its theme is “Continuing to Uphold the UP Tradition of Excellence Through the Years”.
The keynote speaker of the event is the Honorable Judge Israel Abaya Desierto of the Circuit Court of Cook County, the first Filipino American judge in Illinois. Other highlights of the event include the awarding of the Florence Nightingale Award and the Most Outstanding Golden Jubilarian Award to Resi San Vicente and Jean Paredes-Tablizo, respectively.
