The “bad boy” of Philippine movies also admitted taking drugs and was jailed for the offense.

He said he has repented for going into drugs, adding that he has reformed since.

Robin made the revelation to serve as a lesson to the youth.

Now 41, Robin said he hopes to be an example of a person who made a major mistake in life but did something to make it right, particularly on the issues of taking drugs.

On women, Robin, who is a Muslim convert, revealed that he met and got hooked to many girls.

“Iba kasi ako pag na-in love. Lahat naman sila minahal ko ng totoo. Pero ngayon masasabi kong masayang-masaya ako sa aking bagong pag-ibig,” he said.

He said he and wife Mariel Rodriguez would finally walk down the aisle early next year for a Christian wedding.

The couple earlier scheduled the wedding for December 25, 2010 but it was rescheduled to early next year, possibly January, he said.

Robin made the disclosures at the launching of “Star Studio Plus: Idol” magazine at the Power Plant Mall in Makati City and reported extensively by Angela B. Lopez de Leon. The magazine also carried the disclosures or confessions of the action star.

Sharia is a religious code for Muslims, in the same way that the Bible offers a moral system for Christians. It is used to refer both to the Islamic system of law and the totality of the Islamic way of life.

Within Sharia law, offenses such as pre-marital sex, adultery, drinking of alcohol, theft, and robbery are punishable.

According to Angela de Leon’s report, Robin’s marriage to former wife Leizel, his partner for 20 years, was annulled under the Sharia sometime in October.

Robin and Leizel have four children – Roselle Elizabeth, Kylie Nicole, Sherileen Zel, and Ali.

Robin met Mariel when he became a guest host at the defunct noontime show of ABS-CBN “Wowowee” for two weeks.

Robin and Mariel tied the knot in the famous landmark, the Taj Mahal in India last August 29, 2010.

It was reported that the couple also got married in Benguet last September 13, 2010.
