Action star Robin Padilla has revealed more details about his trip in India with Mariel Rodriguez.
The details are featured in a special issue of “StarStudio magazine,” according to a report of Julien Merced C. Matabuena.
It was in the historic Taj Majal in India where Robin and Mariel were married. The couple will have a Catholic wedding later.
It turned out Robin, Mariel, and Robin’s daughter Queenie also shot a movie while in India.
Isang magandang storya,” said Robin at the launch of StarStudio magazine’s special issue “StarStudio Plus: IDOL.”
Robin said he chose India for his movie shoot because he loves the peaceful and unadulterated atmosphere of the country.
He said the movie, a joint veture between the Philippines and India, is slated to be shown this coming Valentine.
According to the Bulletin report, Robin took Mariel on a trip around India, to historic places and old kingdoms, telling her stories like how the Philippines country used to have rajahs and sultans before the Spaniards invaded the Philippines.
Robin also recalled how Mariel fulfilled her duties as housewife while they were in India.
According to Robin, Mariel would try her best to do things for him, like make his coffee and breakfast and fix his bath water.
Robin revealed that he does not want Mariel to give up her showbiz career in favor of becoming a full time housewife. He’d rather for Mariel to be, in his word, “progressive,” and just do what she wants.
