In fact, she revealed that she calls or text him very often, especially when there are issues or concerns that reach her.
“Luis tells me the truth about issues involving him, kahit yung mga may kasalanan siya. I call or text him kasi pag may mga nababasa ako. Sinasabi naman ng anak ko yung totoo kaya alam ko,” she said in an interview with Bulletin’s Shirley Matias-Pizarro.
Ate Vi, as the lady governor is called, also clarified that there is really no truth to the issue linking Luis to controversial ABS-CBN talent Maricar Reyes.
“Yun ang hindi talaga totoo,” she said in the interview.
Shirley M. Pizarro’s article also disclosed that Ate Vi regrets that her son Lucky had broken up with girlfriend and top actress Angel Locsin.
She said she has grown fond of Angel, explaining her sadness over the breakup.
“Nakakasama namin siya before kaya nakakalungkot din. Lagi ko siyang nakikita at nakakausap nung sila pa ni Luis kaya alam kong mabait na bata. Nakakapag-Christmas din yan sa bahay at sila ni Luis ang nagpapasaya sa party ng mga kasambahay namin,” the governor added.
When asked by Shirley who among Luis’ former girlfriends were her favorites, Vilma readily volunteered her answer – Angel Locsin and Nancy Castiliogne, who is now married.
She disclosed that despite their break-up with her son by actor Eduardo “Edu” Manzano, she remains to be close to her (Angel), hinting that she was her son and Angel to be reunited.
Ate Vi revealed that her favorite director Chito Roño is preparing a project for her for next year.
“Hindi daw horror kasi pagod na daw si Direk sa mga horror movies. Suspense daw ang hinahanda niya for me. Hopefully next year ito mailabas,” she told Shirley in the interview.
The lady governor said she is not thinking of plans to move up the political ladder. Earlier, her supporters asked her to run for Vice President or Senator, but she refused.
“Trabaho muna tayo,” the governor said.
“Hindi ko pa iniiisip yan. Hindi niyo lang alam kung gaano kahirap ang career sa pulitika,” she said.
