Mommy Dionisia wants to meet President Obama, dreams of movie with Piolo and Robin

She dreams of meeting United States President Barack Obama and a movie together with Philippine top actors Piolo Pascual and Robin Padilla.

She’s Dona Dionisia or Mommy Dionisia, the 60-year-old mother of world boxing icon Manny Pacquiao.

“I want to tell him (Obama) how good a leader he is,” Mommy Dionisia said in Filipino.

The Pacquiao matriarch had her movie debut in the successful comeback movie of former president Joseph Estrada which was produced by Star Cinema, the movie outfit of ABS-CBN network.

She also played some parts in television shows and is one of the well recognized faces in advertising nowadays.

Now, she dreams of a movie together with actors Piolo Pascual and Robin Padilla.

In fact, this early, “Mommy D,” as she is fond to be called, already has a concept for the movie’s story.

“Parang magkapatid sila o basta sa direktor na ang bahala kung ano ang gagawin namin. Basta gusto ko anak ko si [Piolo],” Mommy D said in an interview with ABS-CBN.

Rowena Joy Sanchez of Bulletin wrote about that interview and other interviews, stating that Mommy Dionisia seems to be enjoying the showbiz limelight.

The mother of world boxing hero was part of the star-studded cast of “Ang Tanging Pamilya” which was shown in 2009. Aside from former President Joseph Estrada, it had Ai-ai delas Alas in the lead.

Mommy Dionisia is also appearing in a concert and promotional shows with songstress Imelda Papin.

Mommy Dionisia also wishes to meet United States President and Nobel Peace Prize winner Barack Obama.

Asked what she will tell President Obama when they see each other face-to-face, she told GMA-7’s “Saksi”: “Kumusta? Ang galing mo po talagang president sa Amerika. Ang peaceful dito talaga. (How are you? You are a good President. It’s peaceful here),”

Seemingly still a child at heart, Mommy Dionisia said she plans to visit Disneyland at Anaheim near Los Angeles.

“Gusto ko dun ako sa may snow magpapa-picture-picture,” she quipped.

And just like a teenager, Mommy Dionisia also (and still) has a lot of suitors.

“Hindi ko naman isinungaling, ang dami talaga,” she said in a separate, live interview on “TV Patrol,” Nov. 19.

However, Manny’s mom said having a love life is not her priority. “Ibuhos ko na lang ang pagmamahal sa mga anak ko,” she said.

Having another shot at love is something that she leaves up to God.

“Hindi tayo ang may-ari sa puso, may nagbigay sa atin: ang Panginoon,” she said.

She doesn’t owe her seemingly blooming aura nowadays to her suitors.

“Ang pagpapaganda ko hindi dahil sa manliligaw eh. I’m sorry na lang…” she said, laughing.
