ShareThis During his recent visit to the Philippines in October, WORD OF GRACE FAMILY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP – Chicago (Christian & Missionary Alliance) Founder and Spiritual Director, Dr. Richard A. Mirpuri along with his wife, Lillian, was welcomed by Bacolod City Mayor Evilio “Bing” Leonardia as the city was celebrating its annual “MASSKARA” week-long annual festival.
Mayor Leonardia is very popular and well-known as the “lucky charm” of Filipino living legend, boxing champion and now Philippine Congressman “Manny” Pacquiao and is always present in the ring on every bout with Pacquiao as a championship belt carrier. Mayor Leonardia will be at the next fight of Pacquiao against Antonio Margarito on November 13 at the Dallas Cowboy Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Last October 13, as Bacolod City joined all Philippine chartered cities in the 2010 ASEAN Day for Disaster Management and International Day for Disaster Reduction, Dr. and Mrs. Mirpuri joined Mayor Leonardia in a press conference that was held at the new Bacolod City Government Center.
Present at the press conference were members of the local media as well as city and military personnel who are part of the Bacolod City Coordinating Council and Office of Civil Defense.
