No privacy in this ‘wedding concert’ 

THE ANTICIPATED wedding of singers Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez will push through on December 22 at Club Punta Fuego, an exclusive beach resort in Nasugbu, Batangas, according to GMA 7 senior vice president for entertainment TV Wilma Galvante.

A TV special, showing highlights of what is dubbed as the “wedding of the year,” will air on December 26 on the Kapuso channel, Galvante announced at a media gathering last week.

For several months, the date and venue of the Alcasid-Velasquez nuptial has remained unknown to the public. Alcasid previously said he wanted the ceremony to be a very private affair.

“It will be a wedding concert. The best local performers will all be there. We are working very closely with the event organizer. The TV special will be the network’s gift to Ogie and Regine,” Galvante added.
