Nora Aunor fails to sing in Australia

Sept 3, 2010

Superstar Nora Aunor flew to Australia last week for her concert, but she failed to sing there. The seasoned actress and singer known for her golden voice nevertheless was able to explain her condition, pointing out that she lost her singing voice after undergoing cosmetic surgery in Japan.

Despite her failure to sing, her fans and supporters at the concert did not complain, saying they understand her. “It was enough that we saw her in person, and heard her voice, even if she did not sing,” several fans said.

Juan Rodrigo, a friend of her who was with her in Australia said they were overwhelmed by the support of Filipinos for Nora in Australia.

German Moreno, a friend of Nora, joined her in the concert and gave some numbers. Nora, who is Nora Villamayor in real life, is poised to file a case against the doctor who performed the surgery that damaged her vocal cords.

She admitted that she need money for her lawyers so she is on a fund raising for that, according to an ABS-CBN report. Last February, Nora announced that she was staging a comeback to Philippine show business. And to prepare for her return to acting, the actress-singer passed by Japan for cosmetic procedures.

The botched operation on her prevented her from going home to Manila. It was earlier gathered that Nora reportedly passed out during her operation so the doctor pricked her affecting her vocal chord.
