makes Mariel happy
Aug 13, 2010

Fans of Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez were delighted to the bones when the action star revealed his love for the television host on television.

Columnist Mario Bautista reported that Robin Padilla, now a host of Pilipinas Win na Win with Kris Aquino, might be 15 years older than Mariel, his co-host, but it’s not noticeable as he has remained boyish looking even if he’s now 40 years old.

Now that Robin has admitted wooing her, how does Mariel feel about it? “Siempre, feeling ko, very long ang hair ko kasi he announced talagang nililigawan niya ko at ‘di gaya nung ibang actor na ‘we’re just friends’ lang ang sinasabi,”Mariel said. How does Robin woo her? “He’s traditional sa panliligaw niya and it feels good kasi ‘yung iba, ‘di na naniniwala sa ligawan, ‘di ba? In his case, magaling siya magsalita. Parang tumutula. Masarap pakinggan,” she was quoted saying in the column. Mario Bautista, a respected showbiz writer, observed that Mariel obviously has moved on quickly after being dumped by Zanjoe Marudo.

“Dapat lang naman. We should also move on. No use on dwelling in the past,” said the actress. Is she happy now? Mariel’s answer to Bautista:

“Obvious namang masaya ako, ‘di ba? Kitang-kita naman. What happened, hindi pinaplano. Who would have thought that Robin and I would have crossed paths when he was guest cohost sa ‘Wowowee’? So mas naniniwala ako na kung mangyayari talaga ang isang bagay, mangyayari ‘yun kahit hindi mo planuhin. Now that we’re working together everyday sa ‘Pilipinas Win na Win,’ the more we get to know each other better.” So when will they officially declare that they’re a couple? Bautista asked.

Mariel had a ready answer: “Hindi rin pinaplano ‘yan. Hindi natin masabi. We’ll see.” The columnist pointed out that Robin, being a Muslim, and Mariel, being a Christian, could have later on a problematic relationship due to their difference in religion. That is still to be seen and should not worry anyone, their fans said.
