joining GMA?
Is top actress Maricel Soriano moving to GMA or the Kapuso Network? Fans and supporters of the actress raised the poser after she started guesting in a GMA Channel 7 show, “Pilyang Kerubin.”
It was gathered that Maricel will guest in the show for two weeks. Why did she accept doing a guest role for two weeks? asked veteran columnist Mario Bautista. Maricel has a ready answer: “Una, reunited ako ng favorite director ko, Maryo de los Reyes. Tapos, ay, ang ganda ng role as Regina. Ngayon ko pa lang nagawa. Dati akong mayaman pero naghirap. Namatay ang isang daughter ko and the older one, naampon ng isang mayaman. Napatira ako sa sementeryo sa may puntod ng anak ko, kaya sa North Cemetery ang set namin. Nag-aalaga ako ng streetchildren. My only wish in life is to be reconciled sa natitira kong anak, pero ayaw niya sa’kin kasi iniwan ko raw siya. Si Barbie Forteza as Charity ang tutulong sa’kin.”
In his column, Mario Bautista also asked Maricel what she thinks of Barbie as “Pilyang Kerubin”? “Ay, kagandang bata. Angelic talaga. At magaling siya, ha. Naku, ang mga anak ko dati, sina Angelica Panganiban at Shaina Magdayao, ngayon, matangkad pa sa’kin. Napag-iwanan ako. Unfair,” she said. Does this mean Maricel will move to GMA? “Secret,” the columnist quoted Maricel as saying. She added: “Secret. Malay natin. Baka masundan itong guesting ko sa kanila. Pero may offer din sa’kin ang TV5 to do a sitcom with Roderick Paulate at may movie rin ako with Dick for APT Entertainment, ‘Si Maria at si Petra sa Italia,’ kukunan sa Italy, directed by Soxie Topacio. Tiyak masaya ‘yun.”
Maricel told Mario that she enjoys being mom to Marron, 23, and Tien, 17. “Si Marron, may girlfriend na, mama rin ang tawag sa’kin. Inaasikaso ko naman, kasama naming lumalabas. Si Tien, wala pa, crushes pa lang. Happy ako ngayon sa mga anak ko na siyang lagi kong ka-date,” she said.
