Heroes and Rogues

February 14, 2011
First, there was one… then, another one… and then, there was a third.  One by one, they came out to expose corruption in the military.  Two brave soldiers and a courageous woman defied threats to their safety because they couldn’t take it any more.  Indeed, Lt. Col. George Rabusa (ret.), Lt. Col. Antonio Ramon “Sonny” Lim, and Heidi Mendoza are heroes in an establishment ruled by rogues.  And they’re making their voices heard loud and clear.    Continue reading

Marami ang naging bansag gaya nang mga sumusunod: “Jan. 31 – Feb. 2, 2011 North American Winter Storm”, “2011 Groundhog Day Blizzard”, o payak na “2011 Blizzard”. My wife frowns then raises the volume up to drown me out. Philippine novellas in their ‘innocence’ remind me of that distant time in America when couples walked down streets, held hands, hugged, and kissed; something you don’t see much these days.
