Sister does not support Kris’ political plans

For a couple of years now, presidential Kris Aquino admitted her plans to join politics like President Benigno S. Aquino III and his parents.
She said she might run for governor of Tarlac, the home province of her father, the late Senator Benigno S. Aquino Jr., who served as mayor and then governor of Tarlac.
Kris, dubbed the Queen of All Media,  also said she may considering running for a national office, which means as senator or even for President.
As part of her preparations for politics, she said she would undergo on-the-job training with Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and with other politicians.

But a sister  has expressed her apprehension over her plans to run for public office in the 2016 elections. Another sister, however, believes in fate as in the case of their brother, President Benigno S. Aquino III who had no plans to run for the number one post of the land.
Aurora Corazon “Pinky” Abellada, disclosed in a television interview taht she hopes that  Kris would steer clear of the path.
“Sana huwag na siyang pumasok sa pulitika, sana hindi,” she said.
Abellada said, “Kasi talagang ’yung life mo, you have to put it on hold ’di ba. Paano ka naman magwo-work nang (mayroong) regular life? If you look at the bright side, okay din naman, pero sana huwag na siya mag-politics.”
Abellada is the second of five Aquino siblings: Ma. Elena “Ballsy” Aquino-Cruz, President Noynoy, Victoria Eliza “Viel” Aquino-Dee and Kris.
For the eldest Cruz, her brother’s presidency seemed like destiny.
“Parang na sa tadhana talaga, eh,” she said, “Hindi naman nila pinagarap, hindi nila ginusto. Iyon nga lang, noong namatay ang dad, naging ang mom (ang president). Noong namatay ang mom, naging si Noy (ang president).”
The assassination of then Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, Jr. in 1983 inspired the Filipinos to fight for democracy, ousting President Ferdinand Marcos. Former President Cory Aquino served the country from 1986 to 1992. It is known that Cory’s death in 2009 paved way for some to urge then Senator Noynoy to run for president.
“Ngayon sabi nila, sino naman mamamatay?” Cruz quipped.
The Aquino siblings consider their parents’ legacy as a “huge gift” that they will surely take care of.
“Sa pinaghirapan nila, sino sa amin ang sisira no’n? I mean, really, baliw ka na kung gagawin mo ‘yon,” Abellada said.
