LOIDA NICOLAS LEWIS TO REPRESENT PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA IN DEBATE


NEW YORK, NY (October 25, 2012) – Filipino American community leader Loida Nicolas Lewis will take part in a town hall-style debate on the upcoming American Presidential Elections, discussing the implications the elections have on the Filipino-American community. The debate, which will air Thursday, November 1 and Friday, November 2, on The Filipino Channel (TFC) at 6:45PM ET/PT, will pit Nicolas Lewis, representing the Democratic party and incumbent President Barack Obama, against Nimfa Gamez, representing Republican candidate Mitt Romney, as they discuss topics like immigration, health care and the economy.

Two prolific community leaders, Nicolas Lewis chairs the organization US Pinoys for Good Governance while Gamez founded the Mission Hope Day programs in California.
After the debate airs, undecided voters in the audience will cast their unofficial vote for which candidate they now favor, and the results will be aired on TFC’s Balitang America on Monday, November 5th, the night before the elections.

The debate will also be shown on the ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC), in the 
Philippines on November 4th, Sunday, 9:00PM and November 5th, Monday at 1:00PM and 10:30PM
