The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), through the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, announced that it is spearheading a Photo Essay Contest in honor of Overseas Filipinos with the theme “A Day in the Life of an Overseas Filipinos: Stories of Excellence, Ingenuity, Patience, Hard Work and Success” in celebration of the Month of Overseas Filipinos and International Migrants Day.
Launched in August 15, 2012 by the NCCA, the contest aims to raise awareness of overseas Filipinos and the general Philippine public on the Philippine Diaspora through photography.
Participation is open to all Filipinos based overseas including migrant workers, immigrants, second and third generation Filipino Overseas and former Filipino citizens, ages 13 years old and above. All entries shall be submitted via email to intl_affairs@ncca.gov.ph. Deadline for the submission of entries is on October 15, 2012.
