Power woes grip Puerto Princesa

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY –  The Puerto Princesa City Council has approved a resolution placing the entire city under a state of emergency due to the worsening problem on power supply.
The resolution would allow Puerto Princesa Mayor Edward Hagedorn to come up with measures to address the problem, according to Haydee Dizon, a staff member of Puerto Princesa Vice Mayor Lucilo Bayron.

Dizon said the city has been suffering from eight to 24 hours blackout due to lack of power supply.
Solving the city’s power woes was needed immediately so that thousands of tourists coming to the city will not suffer and, thus, attract more tourists, especially at its famous underground river.
