Bahay Kubo Restaurant opens door for business

Located at 5750 N. California Ave. in Chicago, corner of Lincoln Ave., Bahay Kubo restaurant had a successful formal opening and blessing last Sunday, July 8 at around 6 P.M. Guests present to cut the ribbon were Atty. Jun Joaquin, Ms. Lourdes Livas and Ms. Anita Rosa.
Several customers who wanted to check out the “new place” in town came in steady streams till the evening. Good food, good music and very polite and attentive wait staff are bound to make Bahay Kubo another hot place to dig for delicious Philippine, Chinese and American dishes, good music and a lot of fun.
Another Bahay Kubo location will also open soon  at 2002 Wentworth Ave., Lower Level Food Court in Chicago’s Chinatown.
Grace Pamelar Usman who manages the California branch surely is getting her taste of business challenges lately. But she’s confident and happy that Bahay Kubo will be the toast of town and will remain so for years to come. Kudos to the entrepreneurial spirit of husband and wife team, Ferdinand and Malou Echavia.  Photo Credit: EDNA PAVEL
