Charice Pempengco sizzles with her new look, tattoo

Filipino singing sensation Charice Pempengco is sporting a new look.
And the local media has been flooded lately with reports on the new Charice.
Gone is her long black hair which she abandoned in exchange for a blonde short hairdo.
She too is sporting a tattoo that says “Love Eternally.”

In between the two words is an Infinity sign on her left forearm.
Many of her fans and supporters were surprised with the makeover but they do not care saying she is Charice and she can do anything which she thinks will help her in her career.
The new look, however, does not seem to sit well to a few fans and observers.
The 19-year-old singer, who soared to stardom through the YouTube, has shrugged off the criticisms.
“To all the negative comments, I don’t care. This is me, this is what I want, and I love it,” the young singer said.
She admitted she purposely did the changes in her look, adding that she is happy with it.
She said  she wants her image to be more like Avril Lavigne or Rihanna.

Speaking to media, Charice said the new look is part of her evolving, but stressed that it is still her – Charice.
“I know some people are more used to the old Charice, sa ballad singer with the pigtails,” she told the press.
She confessed that she had always wanted to be different. “For me, in my heart, I’ve always wanted to be more edgy, rock, more [on the] dark side,” she said.
“I’m really happy and this is a big deal for me ‘coz finally, nararating ko ang mga gusto ko,” she added.
“This is such a huge step for me and I love it. This is me. This is who I am,” she said.
“I know some people think that this is very rebellious but it’s not. It’s just me evolving,” she said. “It’s me transforming into another person that is totally me.”
“Ang gusto ko lang sabihin, magbago man ang looks ko, yung attitude is still the same,” she said in an interview with PEP.
She said she does not want to remain in one image. She has to evolve and grow.
The petite singer has just concluded a jampacked concert at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.
Her fellow Little Big Star alumni Sam Concepcion, Rhap Salazar, Makisig Morales, Kyle Balili, and Gian Barbarona joined her in the show. Little Big Star is the show in ABS-CBN where they joined.

She later performed at Waterfront Hotel in Cebu City also with the Little Big Star alumni.
Charice is set to go with her Asian tour with shows in Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea, explaining her new look.
In an interview with PEP, Charice revealed that she got her tattoo in Singapore.
When asked by PEP to explain why she chose to have the words “Love Eternally” inked on her left forearm, Charice had ready answer: “It’s not just a tattoo. It has a meaning for me.”
“The tattoo says ‘love eternally’ and it has an infinity sign. It’s for my love for the people, love for my dad, love for everybody, love for my family,” she pointed out.
