Word of Grace Church Holds 8th Annual Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem

On Sunday, January 29, the Word of Grace held its 8th Annual Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem at their Worship Center located at 3901 N Whipple, Chicago, IL 60618.  Israel was represented officially by Deputy Consul General Mr. Shahar Arieli while the Philippines was represented by Consul General Mr. Leo M. Herrera-Lim both from their respective General Consulates in Chicago for the Midwest. Photo shows Dr. Mirpuri with Mr. Arieli and Mr. Herrera-Lim during the occasion.

In 2005, The Word of Grace Family Christian Fellowship (C&MA) led by Dr. Richard Mirpuri as the Founder & Senior Pastor joined a global, grass roots movement focusing prayer and attention on the Middle East, specifically Jerusalem. The Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem, which was launched by a coalition of over 500 major Christian leaders around the world, drew participation from 53,000 local churches in 72 nations that year.
This year, Dr. Mirpuri also led in prayer for the Philippines which was just devastated by floods that destroyed lives and property in Southern Philippines (Cagayan De Oro and Iligan) and for the United States of America, 2012 being a very important presidential election year in the U.S. that has global implications.
The Word of Grace – Chicago was joined on this Day of Prayer by The River of Life Ministries in Bacolod City, Philippines under the spiritual leadership of Pastor Emilio and Sis. Lori Henares who partnered with the Word of Grace for this event.
