Marcoses are back in power


July 2, 2010 MANILA – Not just one but three Marcoses are back in power.

They are former First Lady and now Ilocos Norte Rep. Imelda Romualdez Marcos, former congressman and governor and now senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Imee Marcos, now Ilocos Norte governor. Congresswoman Marcos and Senator Marcos took their oath Tuesday before Supreme Court (SC) Associate Justice Diosdado Peralta.

Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. also took his oath before Justice Peralta. Bongbong ran and won under the Nacionalista Party (NP) and said that he will stay with the NP, adding that, he will support the second crack for the Senate presidency of Senator Manue l “Manny” Villar Jr. Mrs. Marcos was elected as the epresentative of the second district of Ilocos Norte. T h e Marcoses are residents of Batac , Ilocos Norte.

Former Agriculture Secretary and now Bohol Rep. Arthur Yap took his oath before SC Chief Justice Renato Corona.
