Christopher de Leon a ‘headache’ to Vi?

This early, popular actor Christopher de Leon is being groomed as governor of Batangas.

Right now, he is serving as a member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, having won a slot in that provincial board in the last election. Christopher represents the town of Lobo where he has built his resort home and farm.

Residents of Batangas, however, are now missing his presence in major events and his critics say he may be neglecting his priorities in the province of Batangas as an elected board member.

At the recent Alay Lakad event in the province, he was reportedly a no show.

Christopher’s constituents pointed out that if it’s true he has plans to run for governor of the province after Gov. Vilma Santos-Recto, he should be more visible.

Is his absence due to the rumors that he and his lady governor are at odds due to certain policies in the province?

It can be recalled that Christopher first ran for vice governor in the 2007 elections but was clobbered by the youthful Vice Governor Mark Leviste.

One issue raised during that election was that he was an American citizen. Christopher, however, may have given up his US citizenship when he filed his certificate of candidacy.

His constituents warn that if he does not shape up, Board Member Christopher de Leon may yet end up a big loser again.

Paging Board Member Christopher de Leon!
