After months of speculation about whether or not she will visit the Philippines, Paris Hilton has finally set foot in the country at 10:50 p.m. on Sunday, August 14.

SOCIALITE PARIS HILTON took Manila by storm in a visit last week to open a new store and design a beach club among others even as she was all praises for the Philippines, the warmth of its people, its food and the talent of its designers. She lauded Rep. Manny Pacquiao, wife Jinkee and new found friends and left for the United States very proud wearing a Pacquiao t-shirt.
Media men failed to get a few words from the hotel heiress, who was dressed in a mustard-colored blouse and blue jeans. A big pair of dark shades prevented everyone from seeing her reaction upon arriving at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport via Emirates Airways Flight EK334.
The Hollywood actress and hotel heiress is reportedly tired from her trip and is said to be billeted in the Manila Hotel. She will stay in the country for five days.
Meanwhile ABS-CBN News reported that Paris lost two mobile phones while en route to Manila. The report also said that authorities are now investigating the incident.
Before she arrived in the Philippines, Paris tweeted about her excitement in coming over.
“Hi, everyone in the Philippines. I’m coming out there and I’m really excited to see you all and also excited doing a very exciting project there.”
Last Aug. 2, Paris tweeted long-time Filipino fan, Isha Dinio, whom she has been following for a year, “Hey @iamishagirl, I’m flying to Manilla, Philippines on August 13th for a few days. Would love to meet up while I’m there. Love you. xo P.”
Paris is up for a courtesy call to President Noynoy Aquino and is expected to meet up with her friends, Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao and his wife Jinkee. There are speculations that she will join Manny in a business venture.
Paris is also expected to visit SM Megamall on Aug. 18 for the opening of the Paris Hilton Megamall Shop. A meet and greet will follow at the Megamall Atrium at 4 pm.
Real estate firm Century Properties revealed in an e-mail that Paris will be its official ambassador and will be part of its creative and design team. As such, she will design the Beach Club amenity of Azure, located at the southern part of Manila.
Paris also runs a beach club, which will have a branch in Manila. Her fashion empire includes the Paris Hilton Handbags and Accessories in Davao.
Paris Hilton loves Manila, wears ‘Pacman’ shirt
She came, she saw, she conquered.
This refers to no other than hotel heiress and socialite Paris Hilton.
Paris came to Manila from Europe via Dubai last Sunday and saw for herself what the Philippines has to offer tourists like her – happy people, talented designers, good food, nice places, among others.
With her stunning beauty, openness and jovial disposition, she conquered many Filipinos at a time when even her native America was starting to look down on her.
And yet she enjoyed her five-day sojourn, and the hospitality of her hosts and newfound friends like friends Rep. Manny Pacquiao and wife Jinkee, conquered her, too.
That’s why when she left last Thursday night on a flight back to Los Angeles, California via Hong Kong, she admitted she was “sad to leave” Manila.
“Bye Manila, I will miss you! Sad to leave, everyone was so sweet! Love the #Philippines so much! I will be back soon! Love you all! xo P:),” Hilton tweeted.
A few hours before her flight, the Hollywood socialite opened her fourth Paris Hilton Bags and Accessories boutique in the Philippines at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.
During the event, she met and greeted fans and friends with one of them giving her a sketch portrait of herself.
Reporting on the event, abs-cbnnews.com on Aug. 18 said that the hotel heiress so loved the gift that she gave the fan a buzz.
Right after the event at Megamall, Hilton tweeted, “Just finished my signing. Rushing to the airport. Hope I don’t miss my flight!”
Hilton was later seen at the old Ninoy Aquino International Airport wearing a shirt with Manny Pacquiao’s face printed on it.
The network reported that Hilton herself took photos with her fans and said “I love Philippines and I love you all” many times before boarding her plane.
“Taking off back to LA rocking the Pacquiao shirt he gave me. 🙂 #PacmanRules,” she tweeted before posting a photo showing her in the Pacquiao shirt.
Earlier on Tuesday evening, Hilton attended a dinner party hosted by Pacquiao and wife Jinkee at the Manila Peninsula Hotel in Makati City.
She said after the dinner: “The Pacquiao’s are such a beautiful and amazing couple! Manny is such an incredible boxer and great friend. Jinkee looked so stunning tonight; she had the hottest Herve Leger dress on. Such a memorable evening! I feel lucky to have such special people in my life.”
Among those who joined them were Ilocos Sur Gov. Luis “Chavit” Singson, Dr. Vicki Bello and her daughter, actor Paolo Contis and Enzo Pineda.
Hilton came primarily to Manila to design and shoot an advertising campaign for the Paris Beach Club at The Azure Urban Resort Residences, a project of Century Properties.
Hilton said she enjoyed her stay in Manila so much that she can’t wait when to come back.
After her dinner with the Pacquiaos and friends, she confided: “I’m so excited tonight to see Manny and Jinkee. I think they’re such an incredible couple.
Interviewed by ABS-CBN’s “TV Patrol,” she said she was impressed with the food served to them during the dinner. “The food is good. I love the food in the Philippines. It’s delicious,” she shared.
She added: “I love being a businesswoman. It’s what I do. But I love having a good life and traveling and living life to the fullest. You only live once.”
The Hollywood celebrity also expressed willingness to record a song with the pound for pound king. “That would be awesome,” she said.
Interviewed also by GMA Network’s “24 Oras,” Paris said she enjoyed her visit in Manila. “My friends and the world love them,” she said of the Pacquiaos.
“I am honored to be here tonight and to be here in the Philipines. The people here are so amazing. I’m loving it so much, I can’t wait to come back,” she added.
An avid Paris fan, Isha Dinio, was lucky she was allowed to have dinner with Paris at The Peninsula Manila Hotel.
She told a television show that Paris embraced her when they met. “Niyakap ko lang siya. Ewan ko lang kung nahigpitan pero mahigpit ‘yung yakap niya sa akin.”
Isha gave her Hilton a Philippine-made picture frame and baro’t saya. In return, Paris gave her a designer bag from her collection.
