Judy Ann Santos comeback movie is for Metro Filmfest

MANILA — Top actress Judy Ann Santos is ready for a comeback movie months after giving birth to her first child with Ryan Agoncillo.

Her comeback movie for the Metro Manila Film Festival will be “My House Husband,” entry of  OctoArts Films where she will star opposite real-life hubby Ryan Agoncillo.

Earlier reports stated that the project has been shelved because of delay in shooting in observance of festival deadlines.

However, producer Orly Ilacad said that everything was going through as planned.

“Definitely tuloy ang ‘My House Husband,’” said Orly. “Shoot starts sometime in August. It’s not a special effects movie so we have more than enough time to finish by the end of October or early November.”

Catherine Ilacad of OctoArts Films added that the script and casting are on their final stages already. Joining Judy Ann and Ryan in the movie will be Eugene Domingo. The script is written by Mel del Rosario.
“My House Husband” reunites Ryan and Judy Ann with director Joey Reyes, who helmed their previous MMFF box office hits “Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo” and “Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo”

“Hindi ko pa nababasa yung story ng ‘My House Husband’ pero kampante kami na basta si Joey Reyes ang director. Maganda na ang team-up naming tatlo and alam naman naming magandang proyekto ang ibibigay niya sa amin,” said the actress.
