Luis, son of actress and governor Vilma Santos and actor-television host Eduardo “Edu” Manzano, himself identified the girl she is dating as actress Jennylyn Mercado.
And he stood firm that he was not dating any other woman, except the actress and talent of rival network, GMA 7.
The young actor who was linked to actress Angel Locsin made the revelation about the new apple of his eyes in a television interview. Angel, by the way, is now being linked to Azkal football team player Phil Younghusband.
Luis disclosed that he and Jennylyn had gone out on a date a couple of times already and he was very happy with the turn of events, according to Sun Star’s Glaiza Jarloc in a report.
In a separate interview, the actress confirmed that she was going out with Luis and they are enjoying each other’s company.
The actress, however, clarified that she was not ready for a serious relationship yet because she is still nursing a broken heart with her breakup with actor Dennis Trillo.
The actor admitted he knew Jennylyn even before, but he got to bond with her during their Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thia training.
“Everything started when we’re training together. Kahit na nasa kabila pa lang si Jenn, eh I’m a fan of her beauty. Pero dun talaga sa training naming ko siya nakilala ng mabuti,” he said.
Luis said that even before, he found the actress really beautiful and is always looking forward to their training just to see her.
“Nung nagkakasama na kami eh, hinahanap mo ‘yung tawa niya. You look forward to it kahit medyo sakit ng katawan ‘yung sa training eh. ‘Yung parang handa kang magpabugbog para makita siya,” he said.
“‘Yung exclusively dating. Hindi pa talaga namin nauupuan ‘yan at napag-uusapan. So far, everything has fallen into place. ‘Yung pagiging exclusive eh isa pa ‘yung hakbang sa kung ano ‘yung namamagitan sa amin. But I’m not seeing anyone except her,” Luis said.
The actor clarified that he went to Boracay during the Holy Week for work and not with Jenn’s family.
“Once and for all, eh para klaro to. Before Holy Week, she went to Boracay with her son and mommy, then bumalik siya (Manila). Ako naman pumunta dun with my MYX family, then parang after two days, eh pumunta ulit siya kasama mga tita niya,” he said.
When asked how he feels about negative right-ups saying that this is his first relationship with a woman who has a child out of wedlock, Luis believes it is unfair to the actress.
“I don’t take it as a bad thing (with Jenn has a son). Definitely, any child is a blessing. There are some na napaka-negative na tao, na mahirap na makipagrelasyon sa babaeng may anak na,” he said.
“Ang masasabi ko lang sa ganun, eh di sana parang hinusgahan na din ang mommy (Vilma Santos) ko. Nung pumasok si tito Ralph (Recto) sa buhay naming, eh my mom had me. Kung hinuhusgahan niyo si Jenn for having a son, it’s very unfair,” he said.
Luis disclosed in the Sun Star report that he has met Jenn’s son with actor Patrick Garcia, while the actress admitted having met Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-Recto.
When asked if she’s ready for any relationship now, especially after her unfortunate break-up with longtime boyfriend Dennis Trillo, Jennylyn said she was still nursing a broken heart.
“Pero sa ngayon, galing pa ako sa isang relasyon kaya hindi pa ako handing pumasok sa isang relasyon ulit. Nursing (a broken heart) parin ako hanggang ngayon eh,” she said.
