Pacquiao to guest in ‘Glee’?

Is boxing icon and congressman Manny Pacquiao following the footsteps of Charice Pempengco in popular American television show “Glee”?

Pacquiao, who has a television show on GMA Network and is a recording artist now with a band of his own, said he is open to the idea of guesting in hit American television show.

The news that he will be in the show went out when half-Filipino, half-Irish cast of the show Darren Criss said that he was looking forward to performing opposite Manny in the TV series.

During his victory party at the Corinthian Gardens in Quezon City arranged by his friend, Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson, to celebrate his win over American fighter Shane Mosley, Manny reacted to the news on the possibility that he might join the show.

There was no immediate confirmation of the supposed guesting but Pacquiao has appeared in some American television shows in which he sang a song or two.

“If that is true, then we will think about it,” said Jinkee, Pacquiao’s lovely wife.

“Pagdating nung adviser namin kasi nasa US pa siya eh. Guest pa lang naman, kakanta lang naman siguro,” Jinkee said.

Jinkee she was hopeful that the guesting will push through because she also wants to see how the TV series is taped.

“Sana matuloy din. Para ma-experience ko at makita ko kung paano ginagawa ‘yung Glee or at least makapunta lang kami dun or ma-meet sila.”

Filipino singing sensation Charice Pempengco is  already a part of the “Glee” program.

Jinkee thanked all supporters who attended her husband’s victory party.

She said she and husband are  looking forward to support for the boxer’s next bout against Mexico’s Juan Miguel Marquez in November in Las Vegas.
Will Pacquiao retire after that fight?

Jinkee said her husband has no plans yet to hang up his gloves, adding that Manny is determined to continue his boxing career as he is in his best shape now.

“Ready naman anytime naman si Manny na mag-retire na kasi okay na siya and stable na din naman eh. Pero gusto pa rin niya lumaban eh and ang masusunod dun eh siya pa rin,” said Jinkee.

Big names in politics and showbusiness like former President Joseph Estrada showed up during the victory party.
