Formed in 2008 by a small group of CEU medical technology graduates aboard a Mexican Riviera Cruise, the CEU Phils Alumni Association has remained intact and continued to grow in such a short time. The reason for its success can be traced back to the deep bond that existed among good friends and classmates of 40 years ago.

They used to meet on few occasions and developed that wonderful friendship but it’s still not enough. So they decided to form a school reunion believing not only in friendship but also in education. They became proud supporters of Philippine and American Education with a goal of providing health care services, financial and other educational aid to primary schools in the Philippines and in doing other charitable campaigns in the United States.

Now on its fifth year, the upcoming CEU Phils Alumni Assn reunion in Chicago was preceded by those held in a Mexican Cruise in 2008, New Jersey, 2008, Nevada in 2009 and California in 2010.

As Cliff Angeles, CEU Alumni Reunion Advertising Assistant said, “I attended four of these events and it had been so exciting and wonderful. The joy is drawing you each moment to see friends hugging with tears and their faces could hardly tell a story of some memories lost.”

Cliff predicts the Chicago reunion will be another successful event, thanks to the CEU MedTech Reunion Planning Committee of Chicago, among them: Carmelita (Encarnacion) Angeles, Myrna Bayona, Betty (Santos) and Nap Celis, Rey Bautista and Felix Bayona and the out of town coordinating members, namely: Ed and Cynthia Poblete (California); Ed and Luz Magsumbol, Nitz Cruz and Sylvia Aljentera (California); Miles Simon and Shiony Verzosa (Nevada) and Pompeyo Pereyra (New Jersey).

Interested parties, especially CEU graduates may contact the following persons for particulars: Carmelita Angeles, 630/820-7203, Betty and Nap Celis, 773/423-7312 or Myrna Bayona at 773/685-1909.
