“Yes, it’s us.”
With these words, actor John Lloyd Cruz finally admitted that he and Shaina Magdayao are a couple.
The top actor made the bold admission no less on ABS-CBN’s “The Buzz” last June 20, just four days before his 27th birthday. John Lloyd said he made the disclosure without the knowledge of Shaina.
He also revealed that he did not snatch the actress from her former boyfriend John Prats. Rowena Joy Sanchez reported in a newspaper that the three-time Box-Office King spoke up on the matter at last because, he said, other people are taking advantage of his silence.
“I wanted to come out and once and for all say something. Ang dami nang taong nagte-take advantage sa pananahimik ko. Hindi na maganda. Maraming tao na ‘yung nadadamay. Maraming tao na’yung nasasaktan for me and for themselves. Hindi na nakakatuwa,” he said.
Sanchez reported that without giving out names, Lloydy, as the actor is called by friends, pointed out to host Boy Abunda some members of the press who had written what he termed as “baseless accusations” about him that had apparently affected his family.
“Baka akala niyo lang ho eh nakakagawa o nakakapagpasa lang kayo ng trabaho para kumita… mahirap kuwestiyunin ‘yun. Hindi ko ‘yun kukuwestyunin. Sa inyo ‘yun eh. Kaya lang may epekto na siya eh.,” said the actor who was once linked to actress, television host and former beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez and singer-actress Sarah Geronimo.
Cruz added: “Kapagka may sinasabing hindi maganda about me, or about you Tito Boy, sinong mga nasasaktan? Nanay mo, kapatid mo, mahal mo sa buhay. Ganun din po ako, kagaya niyo. Feeling ko, dapat magsalita na ko, kasi kumbaga para sa kanila rin, hindi lang para sa’kin.”
John Lloyd also clarified that he is not a womanizer, adding that he did not two-time Ruffa or Sarah.
