ShareThisSexy actress-comedienne Ethel Booba is facing arson charges after she allegedly set fire to some of her appliances inside her rented unit at the eighth floor of the Prince June Condominium along Timog Avenue in Quezon City last week.
Ethel, 32, whose real name is Ethyl Gabison, reportedly set the blaze after learning that her Norwegian boyfriend, Mario Murize, is gay.
Ethel had reportedly asked the condomonium administrator for forgiveness about the incident, saying she was not in her composure and was in a pit of anger after her discovery that her boyfriend was gay.
It was also gathered that she was willing to pay the damage caused by the fire.
Due to her apology, it was gathered that the building administrator would not press charges against the comedienne and sexy actess.
It was decided, however, by the condominium administrator that Ethel move out of the building. The decision was based the recommendation of the condominium unit owners who complained about the hassle Ethel created as a result of the fire in their building.
Firemen and policemen were investigating the fire thoroughly as Ethel gave confusing stories about the fire.
Ethel was a former host of GMA-7’s program “Extra Challenge” in 2003. She was embroiled in a sex video scandal with her former boyfriend Alex Crisano.
She also appeared in Komiks (2006), Ysabella (2007), Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2 (2007), Talentadong Pinoy (2009), at Showtime (2011).
She joined ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2 as the 16th housemate but asked for a voluntary exit from the show. She returned as a special celebrity housemate and stayed until the last week of the reality hit program.
Ethel hosts shows at comedy bars and could not be despondent about possible loss of money, her friends said.
