Ruffa Mae Quinto’s wedding won’t push through

The much-awaited wedding of comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto to her non-showbiz boyfriend is not pushing through.

The sexy actress-television host refused to reveal the reason for the cancellation but hinted it was not meant to be.

“Una sa lahat, ‘yung hindi natuloy (‘yung kasal) siguro may mga bagay na hindi para sa…kung ano ang nagaganap para sa iba hindi para sa iyo. Hindi pa para sa akin ‘yung kasal, ‘di ba?” the actress said on “Showbiz News Ngayon.”

Ruffa Mae was set to wed her boyfriend last year but she backed out due to her hectic schedule, according to Alex Brosas in a Bulletin report.

Explaining the turn of events, she said “kailangan ko pong maging totoo kung ano pong level na nasasaan ako ngayon.”

She disclosed, however, that she hasn’t returned the ring to her supposed groom-to-be.

“Nag-uusap pa kami pero sa ngayon ‘yan ang katotohanan lang para ‘wag nang mag-attempt ang iba…walang espekulasyon. ‘Yan ang leveling,” she said.

The actress who once was linked to Congressman Juan Miguel Arroyo although a married man said she remains positive of what lies ahead. The actress even disclosed that a house has been bought and gifted to her by a boyfriend in California, triggering rumors that the man could have been the young lawmaker.

“Harapin ang dapat harapin nang buo ang loob. Ang importante ayoko na po ng merong kung anu-anong espekulasyon…marami pang nadadamay which is wala namang dapat sisihin,” she said.
She believes the development is merely a hand that destiny dealt her.

“Kaya di ako umiyak,” she said. “Feeling ko, ito ‘yung destiny ko talaga na walang ginawa kundi mag-show, magkulot ng buhok, mag-heels, magpatawa, maging kikay,” she said matter-of-factly.
She confessed that she still loves her boyfriend but she is now focused on her career and herself.

“Sabi ko nga noong huling nag-usap kami, basta sa ngayon sa career na muna ako. I’m back with myself kasi dati dalawa kaming iniisip ko. Pero ngayon iba na…back with myself…”

She doesn’t rule out being friends with her ex who was almost “The One.”

“Bakit hindi, eh, kumbaga siya ‘yung first fiancé ko talaga, ‘di ba? Importanteng-importante talaga siya sa akin,” she said.
