Korina: No breakup, so much in love with Mar

It’s only like yesterday when popular television news anchor Korina Sanchez and former Senator Manuel “Mar” Roxas were married in what was described as wedding of the year at the Sto. Domingo church in Quezon city.

But already, talks about the alleged separation of the popular couple are heard in the Senate hallways and the corridors of television networks, among others.

In fact, the rumors have it that Korina has even reportedly left their Quezon City conjugal home and was moving back to her own pad in Makati City.

One columnist, Bayani San Diego Jr., even reported all sorts of complicated ramifications that have sprouted as a result of the separation yarn, ranging from the dramatic (that Roxas is still smarting from his defeat in the vice presidential race last May) to the scandalous (that there is a third party, and not only that—the other woman is separated and older).

And the rumor persists despite the fact that Korina and Mar were often seen lovey-dovey together.

Are they or are they not?

Korina has a quick answer to the poser. “Sorry to disappoint the source (of the rumors), but we are so much in love and happy together.”

She added in an interview with another topnotch columnist, Dolly Anne Carvajal: “My relationship with Mar [has become] deeper, more nourishing and happier.”

She added: “I trust him and am still very much in love with him. If only I could freeze-frame my life right now that I have more of him. Swerte ako kay Mar! He is such a good man.”

Korina stressed that she is bewildered by rumors that she and Mar have split up because of a third party.

“I don’t know why they insist on this story,” she was quoted as saying. “Nothing could be more absurd. Maybe miserable people want to believe others are as miserable.”

The columnist concluded that Korina and Mar will stay together for better or for worse and for good. They will stick to their vows and never take a bow from their marriage.
